In Kriah Katch’em you can practice recognizing Hebrew letters and nekudo while building your Hebrew vocabulary.

Letters are called out and your goal is to catch the fish that matches. By collecting fish so you’ll spell words.

There are hundreds of vocabulary levels to unlock and play covering the most common words used in the Torah.

You get one star for completing a level, two stars for making fewer mistakes than the total letters in the word, and three stars if you complete it perfectly.
Try to get lots of stars to unlock future levels!

Tally meets the fish of Nekudos Blend

Hi, my name is Tally! I’m a talking Talmud AND a snorkeler!

This is me, exploring the ocean.

Today I dove into the ocean to meet a group of fish who can talk!

These fish had eaten the letters of “Lashon Hakodesh” and now every one of them can speak a little bit of the Holy Language. So cool!

This all started with us getting a letter at Torah Games asking to sponsor the Nekudos Blend game and update it with new features.
Well, Anonymous Benefactor today is the day!

The Nekudos Blend fish have accepted me as one of their own and agreed to show me where to find the best letters to eat.
Oh, also I’ve updated the game. Click the link below to check it out, or tap the updates log link to read what’s new.

Nekudos blend v1.4 (Updates Log)

In Nekudos Blend you learn the sounds letters and nekudos make when you bring them together.

This time I sewed linen onto felt to make the settings.

You can choose which nekudo to practice by checking their corresponding box. Cholam has two choices one for an OH sound and one for OY.

There’s a handy toggle button to turn them all off and on quickly.

You can now skip the intro if you wish.

The big new feature is the option to speak the names of the letters and nekudo! If you’re working on connecting the names with the sounds this will help a lot. I want to thank our Anonymous Donator for requesting this feature.

So what do you think of the new update?
Which letter do you think is the most delicious?
Let me know in the comments!
Till next time~

Tally Talmud  and the Wheel of Nekudos

Hi, my name is Tally! I’m a talking Talmud AND a software engineer.

I just joined TorahGames to help make this wonderful educational website even better!

I’m starting a blog to keep you all updated on our progress here at TorahGames.

Today I’m releasing a handy tool for anyone practicing pronouncing their Hebrew letters:

The Wheel Of Nekudos. v1.3 (Updates Log)

This is it! I cut it out of felt and sewed it together.

With the Wheel of Nekudos, you tap spin to randomly generate a Hebrew letter and Nekudah.
You can click the speaker buttons to hear the letters, nekudos and combined!

The Buttons on the Left say their names, the ones on the right side make their sounds!

Click me to hear the Letter!
Click me to hear the Nekudo!
Click me to hear how they sound together!

You can scroll around and learn a lot with just these buttons.

You can also quiz yourself!

Try to say it out loud before clicking the sound buttons.

Did you say it right?
Click the appropriate symbol to score yourself:

Correct!
Wrong!

Teachers, you can use this tool to break your class into up to 10 teams and have them compete! The wheel will keep score for you!

Want to spin just one wheel?
Just tap the appropriate arrow to shuffle the letters or nekudos! Have fun practicing!

Spins the letters
Spins the nekudos

Want to practice a specific combination? Just grab the wheels and rotate them yourself!

If you’d like to restart the scoring or adjust the settings hit the settings wheel.

Settings!

Normally the game has fancy effects every time you spin the wheel. The wheel dramatically slows to a halt as gravity overtakes it, every correct answer garners a round of applause and confetti raining from the ceiling!
It’s almost like a gameshow!
But if that’s slowing things down too much try Turbo mode!

I’m Normal
I’m Turbo!

Just click the button to toggle between normal and turbo.

Turbo mode speeds the tool up significantly, but if you want to push yourself to go even faster, try the timer! It will only show up in turbo mode.

Adjust how many seconds players have to answer

Hit the plus and minus to adjust the number of seconds players have to answer the question. By default it’s set to ∞ you’ve got all the time in the world 🙂

Want even more excitement? Try Tally Mode!

It’s me!

Call out a Letter and Nekudo and then give the wheel a spin!
The wheel spins forever.
Challenge players to stop the wheel with just a tap over the Letter and Nekudo you called.
You can adjust how fast the wheel spins, and set a time limit.

Adjust how fast the wheel spins in Tally mode

Also, If you’re using a mouse you can right click over any button to get a reminder of what it does.

Well, that’s it for today. How do you like it?
Let me know in the comments!
Till next time~
